3rd-5th Grade Divisions wrestle at Badger Ridge Middle School

Grade Level: 6th- 8th Grade and 3rd -5th Grade

Entry Fee: $300 per team - If interested please contact Jeff Jones so a spot is held for your team.

9:00-9:30AM: Weigh-Ins
10:00AM: Wrestling Begins

Divisions and Weight Classes:
Community Clubs Division 1 – If your High School is in Division 1
Weight Classes 77,87,93,100,107,114,119, 125, 130,140,150,165, 187 and 250

Community Clubs Division 2 – If your High School is in Division 2 or 3
Weight Classes 77, 87, 95, 105, 113, 121,130, 140, 150, 165, 187 and 250

3rd-5th Grade Clubs
Weight Classes 53, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 84, 88, 93, 102, 115 and 150

All members of a team must be from your school district and practice regularly with your team; no picking up team members. Proof must be provided if asked.

Teams will be seeded by trackwrestling rankings

There will be a one-pound allowance given if any wrestler wrestled the day before

Rules of Wrestling
During the wrestling match, we use WIAA Wrestling Rules except we use 90 second periods for grades 6-8th and 1-minute periods for Grades 3-5th instead of two-minute periods as in WIAA. We also need to enforce the WIAA mouthguard rule for wrestlers with braces. Girls must wear a female-cut singlet or an approved undergarment underneath their singlet.

Team Limit: 25 Wrestlers

Awards: 1st-3rd Place Team Trophies and Individual Medals for Each Division

All wrestlers and coaches need to have a USA Wrestling Membership and will be checked at weigh-ins. Limited to 4 coaches per team mat-side.

A starting weight will be picked at weigh-ins and we will go up one starting weight in each round Tournament Rules and Guidelines will be sent out at the beginning of February.
