Schedule:
- Saturday, March 14: 6-8th grade and 3rd-5th grade Division 1.
- Sunday, March 15: 6-8th grade and 3rd-5th grade Division 2; all girls-only divisions.
Divisions and Weight Classes:
- Community Clubs 6-8th Grade Division 1 (if your High School is Division 1). Weight Classes: 73, 80, 87, 93, 100, 107, 114, 119, 125, 130, 140, 150, 165, 187 and 250
- Community Clubs 6-8th Grade Division 2 (if your High School is Division 2 or 3). Weight Classes: 73, 80, 87, 95, 105, 113, 121, 130, 140, 150, 165, 187 and 250
- Community Clubs 3rd-5th Grade Clubs Division 1 and 2, depending on High School Division: 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 102, 115, 150
- Girls 5-8th Grade: 65, 70, 77, 85, 93, 101, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 165
- Girls 3rd-5th Grade: 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105, 115, 135
All members of a team must attend the school district he/she is representing. Homeschool students are only eligible on the team in the district where they reside. In addition, the athlete has only six consecutive years to compete at Kids Team State once his/her class begins the third grade.
Team Limit: 25 Wrestlers. All team members must be from your school district and practice regularly with your team.
Rules of Wrestling:
- WIAA Wrestling Rules will be used. Period lengths will be 90 seconds for Grades 6-8th and girls only for 5th -8th grade. One-minute periods for Grades 3-5th. WIAA mouth guard rule for wrestlers with braces will be enforced.
- Girls must wear a female-cut singlet or an approved undergarment underneath their singlet.
- A starting weight will be picked at weigh-ins. Each subsequent round will start one weight up from the previous round.
Awards: 1st-3rd place team trophies and individual medals for each division.
All wrestlers and coaches need to have a USA Wrestling Membership; there will be a limit of 4 coaches per team mat side.
