Kids Nationals is USA Wrestling’s national event for the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U age-groups in the Olympic styles of freestyle and Greco. All but the 8U division had the opportunity to establish themselves as winners of the coveted Triple Crown presented by USA Wrestling—which means winning USA Wrestling national titles in folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman during the same year.

According to USA Wrestling, only four triple-crowns were awarded in 2019, and Wisconsin’s Caleb Noble was the only one eligible to win the award again during this 2021 season.

Leading the way for Wisconsin is repeat Triple Crown winner Caleb Noble (14U/71lbs). Noble wrestled eight matches across both styles this weekend and was overall victorious. Joining Noble in winning all three styles this season is 8U wrestler Ian Weber (53lbs). He put together a 6-0 performance this weekend, but the 8U division is not eligible for the Triple Crown distinction.

Four more Wisconsin wrestlers had first-place performances at Kids Nationals. Jacob Herm (102) and Declan Koch (106) won the Greco 14U division on Friday. Daniel Heiser (119) and Garret Kawczynski (187) won the freestyle 14U division on Saturday.

Wisconsin had multiple runners-up and top-tier performances across both styles and all age-divisions. Tap the bold text for complete results: Greco | Freestyle

Next up for Team Wisconsin is Junior and 16U Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota.
