Belgrade, Serbia -- Kylie Welker earned a bronze medal at the U23 Word Championships to round out her third appearance on the U.S. World teams this season. Teammate Emily Shilson won gold for the United States, and the U.S. Women’s Freestyle team placed third overall.

From USAW: “Kylie and Emily have made their marks this season,” USA Wrestling National Women’s Developmental Coach Jessica Medina said. “Their drive, hard work and dedication has paid off and I’m hopeful they will continue to improve and build on their successes.”

Welker posted the following caption on social media:
“Coming home with a bronze medal from u23 worlds.  It wasn't what I had hoped for, but it was still a great experience. This was the final world championships of the year and I'm looking forward to tying up any loose ends and coming back stronger. Now to heal up and go to Junior Pan am games! Proud to be a part of Team USA and wear those 3 letters across my chest. 2021 World Championships: 3/3”
