The US Open Events in Las Vegas are a major marker in the wrestling community. The events, all contested at the South Point Hotel, kick off the National Team, World Team and the majority of the Pan Am Team selection criteria for Team USA. 

Senior Nationals and Mens U20 Nationals serve as a qualifier into their respective World Team Trials events. 

• Senior Nationals (MFS, WFS, GR): Qualifying event for the 2022 Senior World Team Trials Challenge tournament (May 20-22 in Coralville, IA) and Final X (New York and Stillwater, OK)

• Mens U20 Nationals (MFS, GR) (2002-2005): Qualifying event for the 2022 U20 World Team Trials on June 3-5th in Geneva, OH.

• *Age-eligible Mens U20 1st-8th Place (placement must be in the same style) are auto-qualifier for Team Wisconsin at Fargo.

The Mens U17 World Team Trials champions earn their spot at the World Championships:

• Mens U17 WTT (2005-2007): Champions in both Freestyle & Greco-Roman will represent Team USA at the World Championships on July 25-31, 2022 in Rome, Italy. This event will also be a qualifier for the Pan-American Championships on June 24-26, 2022 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

• *1st-8th Place at UWW Cadet Nationals (placement must be in the same style) are auto-qualifiers for Team Wisconsin at Fargo.

The Boys U15 Nationals is a qualifier into the final Pan Am Team Trials: 

• Boys U15 Nationals (2007-2009): Qualifying event for the 2022 U15 Final Pan American Team Trials location and date TBD.  This event will be sometime in August 2022. The top eight (8) athletes in either style will qualify for the Final Pan American Trials. The U15 Final Pan American Team Trials champion in both Freestyle & Greco-Roman will represent Team USA at the UWW U15 Pan-American Championships in Rio Negro, Columbia on Nov. 4-6, 2022.

• *1st-8th Place at U15 Nationals (placement must be in the same style) are auto-qualifiers for Team Wisconsin at Fargo. 

Futures Nationals and Masters Nationals are just that, high-caliber national events for those specific age groups. 

• Boys UWW Futures Nationals (2010-2012): This event is open to any athlete born in 2010-2012. The top-3 place winners for this event will earn a custom USA Wrestling Stop Sign. Medals will be awarded to the 4th through 8th-place winners in both the Men's Freestyle and Greco-Roman Divisions. 

• Masters Nationals (1947-1997): Athletes born 1945-1995 may compete in the 2022 Masters Nationals. Attractive awards will be presented to the top-3 place winners in each style, in each weight class. Champions will earn the coveted USAW Stop Sign! 

Finally, the Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase will feature champions and state-placers from across the country and from each of the qualifying tournaments. The event serves as the second piece in the newly established triple crown for girls. 

Women’s Nationals, which will be held in Texas May 6-8, serves as age-group Women’s Nationals, National Team, Pan Am and World team selection process for the women’s age-groups other than the seniors.
