Wisconsin’s best freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers battled in the Dells this weekend at the WWF’s annual Freestyle and Greco-Roman State Championships. The brackets were loaded with top talent, including 2022 U17 World Team Member Koy Hopke, and multiple WIAA state champions, which included Brayton Casey, Clayton Whiting, Gavin Drexler, Aeoden Sinclair, Braydon Sonnentag, Dawson Johnson, Connor Mirasola, Rhett Koenig, Braeden Scoles, and Brooke Corrigan.

The tournament means more than state recognition. Placement in the top three for the boys FS & GR secured them a spot at Fargo. In addition, placement determines the 14U and 16U National Dual Teams for the boys and is also considered in the selection of the MFS and WFS Junior National Dual Teams.
