Wisconsin Dells, WI — The second day of wrestling at Northern Plains featured Greco-Roman wrestling in all age groups.

Five champions from Wisconsin highlighted the Junior division: Brayton Casey (106), Corbin Ramos (145), Brett Back (152), Zach Eliszewski (170) and Jaren Rohde (285). Two of the championship matches were all-Wisconsin bouts with Blake Heal and Cody Goebel earning runners-up in the 145 and 152-pound weight classes. Rohde was also first in freestyle. Brett Birchmann (126) and Luke Hogan (160) were second. Caleb Noble (88) and Tristan Steldt (152) were champions in the 16U division.

Team Wisconsin secured 33 Greco auto-qualifiers for Fargo, after earning 36 placements in men’s freestyle between the 16U and Junior age groups on Saturday. The top-six place winners qualify for their respective weight class and style. Like freestyle, the auto-qualifiers do not count against the allotted state numbers Team Wisconsin can bring.
