National Duals: Junior Men’s and 14U Girls Freestyle Advance to Gold/Silver Pools

Tulsa, Oklahoma—Team Wisconsin is powering their way through matches in the final days at National Duals. The junior men’s freestyle and 14U girls freestyle teams are undefeated after their opening day of competition and stacked up a combined 10-0 record.

In men’s freestyle, the team opened with a win over Georgia Blue (W57-10) before taking on South Carolina (W54-14), Florida (W36-31) and then ousting Illinois (W37-33) in Pool B’s 1st place match. The first match in the Gold/Silver pool was a high-energy battle Wisconsin won over California, W37-30. They start tomorrow with matches against Ohio Scarlet and Ohio before the placement round. [Day One Junior MFS Results]

The 14U girls, who got to sideline the junior team the last two days, brought a full squad ready to fight. They are undefeated with a 5-0 team record as Pool B champions. Their wins were over Virginia (W53-12), Kansas (W52-9), Arizona (49-10), Minnesota (W31-28) and Michigan (W34-29). The girls will face Pennsylvania in the opening round of the Gold/Silver pool. [Day One 14U WFS Results]
