The 2022 U15 Pan American Team Trials will be held at Boys Town High School in Boys Town, Neb., August 5-6. Boys Town is located in the Omaha, Neb. community.

This is the final qualifying event for U15 athletes who wish to compete at the 2022 U15 Pan American Championships in Rio Negro, Colombia, November 4-6.

The U15 Pan American Team Trials is not an open event. Participants must have qualified through specific competitions in order to enter the Trials, based upon the approved U15 Pan American Team Selection Criteria. 

Boys Qualification Criteria 
Top 8 from 2022 U15 Nationals (Las Vegas) – either style
Top 8 from 2022 16U Nationals (Fargo) – either style
Top 3 from 2021 & 2022 Kids Nationals – either style 

Girls Qualification Criteria: 
Top 8 from 2022 U15 Nationals (Ft. Worth) 
Top 8 from 2022 16U Nationals (Fargo)
Top 3 from 2022 Women’s Nationals – 14U age eligible (Ft. Worth)

U15 Pan American Team Trials Selection Criteria

In the girls division, there will be a best-of-three championship series for each weight class to determine the athlete who will get the chance to compete at the U15 Pan American Championships.

The girls will compete over two days with half of the weight classes on Friday, August 5 (33 kg, 36 kg, 39 kg, 42 kg, 46 kg) and the other half of the weight classes competing on Saturday, August 6 (50 kg, 54 kg, 58 kg, 62 kg, 66 kg).

In the Boys division, there will be separate tournaments in Greco-Roman and freestyle, with Greco-Roman contested on Friday, August 5 and freestyle contested on Saturday, August 6. There will be a single-match finals in the boys competitions.

The Boys U15 athlete with the highest point value (both styles combined) in each weight class will earn the right to compete in both Greco-Roman and freestyle at the 2022 U15 Pan American Championship.  

This will be a stay-to-play event in which participants must stay in one of the official host hotels in order to participate. You will be able to book your hotel starting on Monday, June 27 on the official website.

Registration for the U15 Pan American Team Trials will open on Tuesday, June 28, also through the official website.

7:00 a.m. - Doors Open for Weigh-ins (Athletes/Coaches Only!)

8:00 am - 8:30 am. - Medical and Weigh-in – SCRATCH for all Greco-Roman weights and Girls (33 kg, 36 kg, 39 kg, 42 kg, 46 kg)

10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. - Session I - Greco-Roman and Girls (33 kg, 36 kg, 39 kg, 42 kg, 46 kg), Preliminaries, Quarterfinal, Semifinals, and Consolations

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm - Session II
Greco-Roman - 3rd-7th place matches and Championship Finals match
Girls (33 kg, 36 kg, 39 kg, 42 kg, 46 kg): 3rd-7th place matches, Best 2-of- 3 Championship Finals 

Saturday, August 6

7:00 a.m. - Doors Open for Weigh-ins (Athletes/Coaches Only!)

8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - Medical and Weigh-in – SCRATCH for all Greco-Roman weights and Girls (50 kg, 54 kg, 58 kg, 62 kg, 66 kg).
Note: Weigh ins do not carry over from Friday. Boys must weigh in each day.

10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. - Session III - Boys Freestyle & Girls (50 kg, 54 kg, 58 kg, 62 kg, 66 kg), Preliminaries, Quarterfinal, Semifinals, and Consolations

5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Session IV
Boys Freestyle - 3rd-7th place matches and Championship Finals match 
Girls (50 kg, 54 kg, 58 kg, 62 kg, 66 kg): 3rd-7th place matches, Best 2 out of 3 Championship Finals
