National Dual Teams

  • Team Wisconsin will have eight teams at USAW’s National Duals: 14U MFS & GR, 14U WFS, 16U MFS (two teams), 16U GR, Junior MFS and Junior WFS.
  • 14U and 16U MFS & GR: Athletes have submitted interest forms, and coaches have sent invitations to the top place winners from Freestyle and Greco state.
  • Junior MFS & GR: Scott is working with USA Wrestling to determine athletes with the highest PIN ratings. Athletes will receive an invite when we have the PIN numbers finalized (likely at the end of this week, or early next week).
  • WFS: Neysa Bianchi and Coach Koontz have been in contact with athletes and are finalizing the rosters. The next stop for all WFS athletes on the dual teams is mandatory team camp on June 11th at X-Factor Elite in De Pere.
  • All finalized rosters will be communicated to our membership via email and posted online. Detail on team selection is available here.

Fargo, Auto-Qualifiers and Qualifying Opportunities

  • Fargo registration (on Team Snap) will be open through June 23rd. Auto-qualifiers must lock in their weight class by that date. Select here to register.
  • The top three 16U and junior place winners from FS & GR state are now qualified to compete at Fargo.
  • The top six place winners from any USA Wrestling Regional Championships (like Northern Plains) auto-qualify, and do not count against the allotted number of wrestlers the state can bring (4 at each weight). Central Plains is this weekend in Indiana, and Southern Plains (Kansas) is the first weekend in June.
  • Qualifying criteria is posted online here.
  • All wrestlers must attend the pre-Fargo training camps in River Falls.
  • There will be a minimum of one wrestle-off spot available at each weight at camp in River Falls. With auto-qualifiers we have an opportunity to have more than one at each weight—we’ll share a document outlining how many spots are available at each weight class by the end of next week.
  • Athletes that have not qualified for Fargo at this point but wish to wrestle off at camp for a spot on Team WI should register through Team Snap. Athletes that do not make the team at the end of camp will be reimbursed.

Kids Nationals

  • Kids Nationals is scheduled for June 26th-27th in Farmington, Utah. Kids typically have to wrestle at a regional qualifier like Northern or Central Plains for eligibility. There is no placement requirement, just participation.
  • When you register through USA Wrestling you will be prompted to supply a waiver if your kid didn’t wrestle at a regional qualifier. Please contact Todd Schaaf at tjschaaf@yahoo.com for that waiver.

The Wisconsin Wrestling Federation, guided by USA Wrestling, provides quality opportunities for its members to achieve their full human and athletic potential. Wisconsin Wrestling Federation will strive to be USA Wrestling’s best state organization.
