FARGO
Fargo, or the USMC Junior and 16U Nationals, has become the largest event worldwide. Teams from across the U.S. compete for individual and team titles in men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle and Greco-Roman. Last year, Wisconsin had 30 All-Americans at Fargo, including two champions and four runners-up. The team achieved top-10 placements in three divisions and six received distinguished awards. Registration opens here on May 5th.

Team selection: Team Wisconsin MFS, WFS and GR have the same qualifying criteria. Athletes can auto-qualify by placing at the national-level USA Wrestling events below, or by placing in the top three at the Freestyle or Greco State Championships. There will be a minimum of 1 spot open for wrestle-offs at the pre-Fargo camps in River Falls.

  • Current year 1st-3rd Place at WWF State Freestyle and Greco Tournament (placement must be in the same style and weight class). This is an auto-qualifier, but it does not count against the total number of athletes Wisconsin can bring.

  • Current year 1st-8th Place at U15 Nationals (placement must be in the same style)

  • FARGO ATHLETES: The WWF releases new singlets every other year, with the latest update in 2024.
