Milwaukee, Wis. — Milwaukee will be the epicenter of high-level age-group wrestling this week as USA Wrestling's 2025 Junior National Duals come to the Baird Center. Wisconsin becomes just the third state to host the prestigious event and will welcome some of the nation’s best as teams battle in Greco-Roman and freestyle competition across four days of elite action.
Competition Information
Team Wisconsin
Action starts with the Greco squad June 18-19. Team WI returns a battle-tested lineup, including Brody Miess, Devon Lietzau, Adam Whittier, Sullivan Ramos, Breyson Kelley, and brothers Henry and Hunter Vander Heiden. Ramos and the Vander Heiden’s each went 8–0 last year, and Hunter went on to earn All-American at Fargo. Kelley and Christopher are among the Fargo All-Americans representing team WI. With a strong core of returners and plenty of experience, this team is ready to let it fly.
The freestyle team returns to the mat after making history in 2024—and they’re aiming to defend the Junior Duals title on home turf. Returning from last year’s championship run are Camden Rugg, Kellen Wolbert, Jacob Herm, Declan Koch, Danny Heiser, and Bryson Busler. Multiple time Fargo champ Haakon Peterson steps in at 150 pounds this season, and the team is full nationally recognized athletes, including Fargo All-Americans Crook, Dennee, Wolbert, Vander Heiden, Leisgang, Kawczynski, Heiser and Koch. Wisconsin will field a Red and Blue team in freestyle, giving a deep and determined group the chance to battle on home turf. Freestyle competition runs June 20-21.
Make your travel arrangements to Milwaukee! Wisconsin’s junior teams are ready to roll.
