Women’s Freestyle Camp Series: Train with Wisconsin National Team Coaches this Season!

The Women’s Freestyle Camp Series is back for the 2025–26 season! The Wisconsin Wrestling Federation is hosting 7 camps across the state from September to April for all 14U, 16U and Junior female wrestlers in Wisconsin.

These monthly camps are designed to sharpen skills, build team culture, and prepare athletes to compete at their best when it’s time for National Duals and Fargo. Expect to be in the room training with like-minded athletes, building relationships with wrestlers from around the state, and connecting with the National Team program in women’s freestyle. Click here to REGISTER today! 

 

Camp Series: September - April

  • Sept. 27 – Holmen High School - Discussion: Backwards Planning & Goal Setting

  • Oct. 11 – B.A.M. Training Center - Discussion: What Is My Best Competition Weight?

  • Nov. 16 – UW-Stevens Point - Discussion: Making My College Profile

  • Dec. 14 – AWA Wausau - Discussion: Drilling with a Purpose

  • Jan. 25 – Shiocton High School - Discussion: Nutrition & Weight Management

  • Mar. 28 – Team Nazar Training Center - Discussion: Nutrition & Weight Management

  • Apr. 19 – Aviators Wrestling Club - Discussion: Match & Tournament Management

 

Training Team Camps: May–July
After Freestyle State, the WWF hosts three Training Team Camps designed to get athletes competition-ready for National Duals and Fargo. The first camp at the Mauston Talon Training Center is open to all Wisconsin athletes, and then the National Duals and Fargo prep camps are reserved for athletes qualified for those individual teams.

  • May 2 – Mauston Talon Training Center (age groups TBA)
  • Jun. 6 – Junior Dual Team Camp at UW-Stevens Point
  • Jun. 13 – 14U & 16U Dual Team Camp at Team Nazar Training Center
  • July 13–15 – Fargo Camp at Victory School of Wrestling

Camp Schedule:

  • 9:30 a.m. - 9:55 a.m., athlete check-in
  • 10:00 a.m. - 12 Noon, practice session I
  • 12 Noon - 12:55 p.m., lunch break 
  • 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., practice session II

 

What to expect:
At each camp, you’ll step onto the mat with a room full of like-minded athletes who share the same drive and commitment to succeed. Sessions led by members of the National Team coaching staff feature a discussion topic during the break designed to sharpen not only your skills, but also your mindset and long-term goals. Technique work will zero in on key areas of development identified from national competitions in 2025—helping you prepare to compete with confidence in the season ahead.

These camps are about more than training—they’re about becoming part of something bigger. By staying connected with the National Team year-round, you’ll build lasting relationships with athletes and coaches from across Wisconsin while moving the dial toward individual and unified goals. What are the discussion topics?
Each camp features a discussion topic during the break designed to sharpen not only your skills, but also your mindset and long-term goals. These key areas are proven to strengthen performance, wrestling acumen and long-term development.

 

Do I need National Team experience to attend?
No. These camps are designed for all athletes—whether you’re just starting or already competing at the national level. Sessions will be coached to the highest skill level in the room, while making sure every wrestler is able to improve.

 

What is the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation and Team Wisconsin?
The Wisconsin Wrestling Federation (WWF) is the official state association of USA Wrestling in Wisconsin. The organization hosts the State Series and organizes training opportunities for National Team programs in men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle, and Greco-Roman.

 

Each summer, the WWF assembles Team Wisconsin through posted team selection criteria to represent Wisconsin at marquee national events, National Duals and Fargo. Team Wisconsin is a unified state team that competes against the best from across the country, showcasing the strength, unity and commitment to wrestling here in Wisconsin.
