By Scott Kluever, WWF State Coach

Four quick questions and feedback from the USA Wrestling Cadet Freestyle National Champion and UWW Cadet World Bronze medalist.

This week we asked Stratford Wisconsin’s Macey Kilty - USA Wrestling Cadet Freestyle National Champion and UWW Cadet World Bronze medalist a few questions about the WWF Women’s program and her trip to the World Championships last year.

Kluever: What did you learn from being part of the WWF Women’s program last year?
Kilty: Being part of the WWF Women’s program has shown me that there are girls in Wisconsin that can wrestle and want to wrestle.

Kluever: Why would a girl want to join the WWF Women’s program?
Kilty: If you are a girl wrestling in Wisconsin, joining the WWF Women's program will be the best decision you could possibly make. Being a part of the program you will get presented opportunities that you will not be presented with in many other states or in your hometown.  Being a part of the program you get to travel around the nation to national tournaments where you wrestle the best girls in the country.

Kluever: Tell us about your experience wrestling at the World Championships last year.
Kilty: It was a very cool experience that I think every girl serious about the sport should experience. You get to show your skills on the world's biggest stage for your age group, while competing against girls that have the same aspirations as you. It’s definitely one of the best wrestling opportunities I have been presented with in my life.

Kluever: What will it take for Wisconsin to win the Women’s title in Fargo this summer?
Kilty: We were really close last year and we didn’t have close to as many girls as California - who won it all, and that says a lot. This year we will be bigger and better as a team than last year so we just need to wrestle our style and let the outcome take care of itself.
