TLDR: Wisconsin 14U Greco places 3rd at National Duals with a 4-3 record overall. The team defeated LA, FL, OK and IL, and took losses to PA, OH and WA. In 16U freestyle, Wisconsin Red is competing in the Gold/Silver pool, and Wisconsin Blue is in the Red/Blue pool at the end of day 1.

Oaks Park, Pennsylvania: Wisconsin’s 14U Greco team finished 3rd overall at National Duals, accumulating a 4-3 dual record throughout the two-day event.

The 3rd place medal match between Wisconsin and Illinois was intense, with Wisconsin taking command in the back half of the dual. They secured the final five victories from 102-119, including techs from Sheard (102), Guardiola (110), Penzkover (114) and Neubert (119). The team exchanged back-and-forth wins with Illinois up to that point. The score was in Wisconsin’s favor by just a single point with two matches left. If you want to see team hype, watch the end of that dual.

Their first win in the Gold/Silver pool came last night over Oklahoma Blue W42-33, but they were edged out earlier today by Washington, L41-40, and also took a loss to Ohio L54-26.

Wisconsin made it to the All-American bracket from Pool B, with wins over Louisiana (W72-13) and Florida (W49-33). They lost in the Pool B finals to Pennsylvania Blue, who would go on to win the title on home turf. All-in-all an amazing tournament for the 14U Greco team to end up 3rd place in the nation.

Loves Park, Illinois: Wisconsin Red and Wisconsin Blue are competing in 16U freestyle in Loves Park.

Wisconsin Red advanced to the Gold/Silver pool and currently has a 3-3 record at the end of day 1. The team secured wins over Georgia Red (W77-2), and Tennessee (W57-16) before a loss in the Pool D finals to Minnesota Blue, L46-28. They defeated Indiana in the true 2nd match, W51-22, and advanced to the Gold/Silver pool. The team dropped their first two duals in the All-Americn bracket to Ohio Scarlet, L36-35, and Illinois, L49-26.

Wisconsin Blue placed 6th in Pool B and is wrestling in the Red/Blue pool. They have wins over LA, Team Texas, Team Colorado and Missouri Blue.

Action continues with 14U and 16U freestyle tomorrow and can be streamed live on FloWrestling.
