FARGO
Fargo, or the USMC Junior and 16U Nationals, has grown to be the largest event worldwide. Teams from across the U.S. compete for individual and team titles in men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle and Greco-Roman. Last year Wisconsin had
37 All-Americans at Fargo, including eight champions and six runners-up, placing top-five in each of the men’s divisions. Select here to register

Team Wisconsin WFS, MFS and GR now have the same qualifying criteria. In men’s freestyle and Greco the WWF can bring 60 Juniors and 68 16U wrestlers, in addition to any auto-qualifiers. In women’s freestyle, the WWF can bring 56 wrestlers per age group in addition to any auto-qualifiers. There will be a minimum of 1 spot open for wrestle-offs at camp. Auto-qualifier opportunities:

  • Current year 1st-6th Place at USA Wrestling Regionals (placement must be in the same age and style)
  • Current year 1st-8th Place at U15 Nationals (placement must be in the same style)
  • Current year 1st-8th Place at U17 Nationals (placement must be in the same style)
  • Current year 1st-8th Place at U20 Nationals (placement must be in the same style)
  • Previous year 1st-8th Place at Junior Nationals (placement must be in the same style)

  • Previous year age-level World Team member (must be in the same style)
  • Current year 1st-3rd Place at WWF State Freestyle and Greco Tournament (placement must be in the same style and weight class). This is an auto-qualifier, but it does count against our total number.

GEAR
Singlets will be distributed to athletes for National Duals with a deposit, and are to be returned at the conclusion of the respective events. Athletes competing in Fargo are responsible for purchasing the Team Wisconsin uniform package (minimum red and blue singlet). Athletes who purchased a uniform package in 2022 DO NOT need to purchase another gear package. The singlets are the same for 2023. Note: Wrestlers on the National Team in Fargo that do not wish to purchase a new set of singlets may use a generic reversible singlet offered by the WWF coaching staff. The gear store will reopen for orders May 1st-15th.
