Some of Wisconsin’s best freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers battled in the Dells this weekend at the WWF’s annual Freestyle and Greco-Roman State Championships.

The tournament means more than state recognition. The top three place-winners in the boys and girls 16U and Junior divisions earned a spot on Team Wisconsin for the 16U and Junior National Championships in July (Fargo). Champions in the boys 14U and 16U boys age groups earned a spot on the National Dual teams this summer, and placement for the girls is part of the team selection process for National Duals.
