July was a huge month for Wisconsin wrestling. 38 wrestlers earned All-American status at USA Wrestling’s Junior and 16U National Championships, including six champions and four runners-up. Those champions were Haakon Peterson (JR MFS 106), Braeden Scoles (JR MFS 160), Noah Mulvaney (JR MFS 170), Connor Mirasola (JR MFS 195), Koy Hopke (JR MFS 285) and Ashton Miess (JR GR 160). Junior men’s freestyle tied the national record for most junior champions in a single year and had the best team result in Wisconsin history with their 2nd place finish overall.
