Wisconsin wrestlers hit the mats in the Rochester this weekend for USA Wrestling’s Northern Plains Regional Championships! The event is part of a series organized by USA Wrestling during the spring that brings together some of the toughest kids from surrounding states to showcase the Olympic styles of freestyle and Greco-Roman.

The Northern Plains states include Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, but wrestlers from any state can register and compete. In addition to tough competition, the event serves as an auto-qualifying opportunity for the 16U and Junior National Championships (Fargo) in July. The top-six place winners in 16U and Juniors earn the opportunity to represent their state teams.
