WI x USA Wrestling Highlights
Wisconsin continues making its mark with Team USA as Connor Mirasola and Aeoden Sinclair are set to compete at the U20 Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru July 11-14. Both wrestlers earned their place in men’s freestyle by winning the US Open in April.

Clayton Whiting and John Gunderson competed in Colombia at the U23 Pan Am Games in June helping Team USA’s men’s freestyle team dominate competition. Whiting brought home a gold medal, and Gunderson earned silver.

Also in the U23 division, Kylie Welker won the U23 wrestle-off last week to earn a place on the World team. She defeated Aspen Barber in two matches to earn the 72kg spot and will represent Team USA at the U23 World Championships this October in Tirana, Albania.

Kids Nationals saw an awesome Wisconsin showing this past weekend in Cedar Rapids as the younger age groups threw down in freestyle and Greco.

Tyler Paulson doubled up titles in freestyle and Greco in the 14U division at 119 pounds. Easton Kammerud (14U 149) and Hawke Garrett (12U 108) won freestyle titles, while Josiah Beltran (14U 149), Kade Splinter (14U 187) and Adam Husk Jr (12U 63) won titles in Greco-Roman.

12 more place in the top 3. In 14U FS were Brodey Lewis (3rd at 83) and Kade Splinter (3rd at 187); 10U FS: Cameron Allen (3rd at 67), Ryder Mitchell (2nd at 77), and Bennett Jenkins (3rd at 77); 12U FS: Ian Weber (2nd at 67) and Adam Husk Jr (3rd at 63).

Placing top-three in Greco were 14U Lincoln Swick (2nd at 106), Easton Kammerud (2nd at 149) and Lucian Lorenz (2nd at 250), and in 12U Ian Weber (2nd at 67) and Hawke Garrett (3rd at 108). Complete results for WI are linked here for freestyle and Greco-Roman.
